Afternoon Adventures With the Kids

Looking for a some afternoon fun with the kids? Snow King Mountain Resort is close to town square and is the perfect place to find adventure.

Just a few activities you can try; Take a ride on the alpine slide, rent bikes and ride them to Cache Creek or around town, do flips on the Bungee Trampoline, take a scenic ride up the chairlift, or do a little bouldering at Phillip Baux Park.

Ok, so you’ve driven 8 hrs around breathtaking Yellowstone National Park and the kids are squirming in the back seat. It is time to let them run around and maybe try something new.

Not only does Snow King have fun activities the kids will love, adults are also encouraged to ride the alpine slide… and maybe grab a refreshing drink at Haydens Post. Also coming in September is the new Mountain Coaster which will be open in Summer and Winter.

The bouldering walls at Phil Baux Park are free and a great place to watch your kids monkey around. There are a few different walls, if looking to the South, directly at Snow King, the wall on the furthest right is the best for new climbers. Luckily there is a nice soft woodchip landing to catch any falls.

Author’s Experience: Never having been on an Alpine Slide before, I was a little nervous, however I felt better knowing I could control my speed quite easily. In just a couple minutes I got used to it and started to have a blast whizzing around corners. I used Haydens Post as my break room in order to cool off, and get refueled for more fun!

Suggestions: Wear athletic clothing, close-toed shoes, bring sunscreen and a camera!
